I sold my engagement ring to buyer. After more than a month, he claims center stone not real or certified.
My family owns jewelry store and ring was inspected. Also, took to another jeweler for an appraisal. I have both the appraisal from the other jeweler and certification papers.
Any advice on how to handle this?

Yes @letsebuynow , you can return the item but you're going to receive a switched stone on your ring. Buyer is telling you; center Diamond is not real, what else you think is going to happen?
PayPal and C C Co. are Buyer's attorneys. They act on behalf of Buyer. Buyer waited more than 30 days, so he could go around eBay. He feels more confident having his C C Co. as judge and jury. That's a perfect scenario for you because you don't have to chase him. Your target will be the bigger companies which didn't listen to you and favored their client. So, you've nothing to worry about.

Evidence Rules are, you need to disclose all to Buyer and his attorney. So, send Buyer copy of two appraisals. Same goes to C C Co. and PayPal. If you get a charge back, file a small claims in your local County Courthouse against the entity doing the charge back for wrongful judgment. They have no rights for a charge back after a 30 day, Money Back Guarantee while having two appraisers saying center stone is a Diamond.
If you need more help, let me know. I've done this before with much success.

Were you counting more than a month from the purchase date or the delivery date?
Purchase was Feb 26 with 9 days shipping. We don't actually know if it was delivered before or after March 12. Can you tell us the delivery date?

You make sure and come back and post again about how the advice given to you in the "solution" you chose works out.

If so don't let ebay step in, send buyer a return label on your dime and when it's returned issue refund and pray it's the same ring and not a box of rocks. That's all I got, you can't fight this, it's evil.
If the buyer claimed SNAD, this would be a win for the seller, @letsebuynow since the sale was on Feb. 26. It's well over the 30-day timeframe for the buyer to open a dispute.
PP and CC OTOH allow more time.

I will.

How do we know it's been over 30 days since the buyer received the item?

Have read over all the answers and did not see the actual date of delivery, which would be the way to determine what the buyer was (is) able to do. Can someone return here and tell me what the actual date of delivery was?

I don't know maryl, this post was so confusing and really not maintained well by the OP. Unanswered questions, had to play guessing games.
When I first read OPs post I thought it said For over a month the buyer has ...... that's why I thought is this going to be a SNAD? Then on my post 9 I stated it's passed the MBG.
Poster "Fab" also asked about the same questions, never was any answer by the OP.
Anyway, OP picked the solution? It just sounds like the buyer of this ring is looking to pull something and it's probably a chargeback claiming it's fake, I don't see this ending well.

I sent them the original certificate and a copy of the appraisal.
