I paid way too much for this large lot of necklaces and bracelets. Auction house back east so my shipping cost more than the lot of 11 pounds of jewelry. Hoping for something special or signed and no luck. So my first steps was to throw out the broken or missing stone pieces and this is what is left. I have been offering free shipping so thinking to put in 1 pound lots to keep shipping cost down. Divided in general colors. I know some of this board does well on their lots so any advice is needed. I plan on spreading out each lot so buyer can see what they are getting. Going to have a booth at a sidewalk sale in a couple of weeks so what doesn't sell I will take over there. I know I should never have bought boxes of jewelry but sometimes there is one piece that makes it worth it. I really like vintage or sterling so much better but need to sell this. Thanks everyone in advance.Beads beads and more beads

I have never done good on large lots here. I always do better when listing in smaller groupings. I’m sure that’s not the case for everyone. Let us know how it goes for you.

I wouldn't buy from that image either - you can't see what's there. As the others said, I'd use a flat rate packaging, and start at the minimum you actually want. You can order flat rate boxes on the USPS website and get the small flat rates or Regional A boxes too. The latter is really a 2-pound rate Priority box, so you can pack it out for a max rate. Ebay has the rate for that box available again.
Large lots are hit and miss for me. I've done well on a few of them, crazy well once or twice, but busted other times.

From a psychological standpoint, I'd throw it all in one box and get rid of it. Nothing makes me sicker than to look at my mistakes, and then put more time into them than I already have 😫. I don't see much there that would be worth the hassle of breaking it up into small lots. Don't be discouraged from taking chances, though. That's part of the fun 😀!

Thanks everyone for advice. Keeping each lot under 16 oz. and mostly sorted by color. I will be listing everything today at 7 day auction and will give you guys the results. Lucky for me the antique store that I have a spot in is having a sidewalk sale Sept. 20th and I plan on having a $1.00 table. Buy 5 items and 6th one free. Also I have done well on another lot I bought at an auction house 10 necklaces that was labeled nice necklaces. There was a 15 inch 14K simple thin chain that had a kink in it. So far the auction is up to $50.00. So I agree some lots are worth taking a chance.
