I think this vintage brooch is a flying butterfly, measuring approximately 3 1/4" x 2" .
It's a quality piece, any idea who may have made this?

Another possibility might be Austria. Run your fingernail across the pin. Sometimes they're signed on the pin. If you don't find who the maker is, this pretty piece will sell itself. I know, I know. We all want our pieces to be signed 😏.

Very pretty! Great color combination.
Is that a loop on the back ? ..perhaps makes it able to be worn on a bead strand or chain? Hard to tell how large the opening is.
Hopefully someone can give an idea if is 'by' anyone.

Good morning Sarah,
No, that's not a loop, it's the fold over structure for the bottom wing.
I don't know if the wing colors come thru, but the Navettes on the wings are actually plum in color, not brown.

Have you checked the Isitjuliana site? It kinda has that vibe.

Ha! I must be slippin, dream!
Normally when I see something delicate like this along with navettes..Austria always pops right into mind.
I agree with ya tho..even if not a known name..it`ll stand on it`s own

Thank you dream, you're right. This piece should sell itself, with or without being signed.
I'll post this next week in coming attractions, just need time to figure out the "hot" tags to describe to bring lots of views.
