Thoughts on this turtle brooch. D&E?

I've submitted this to the D&E education site, but have read it can take a very long time to get an answer. Does anyone know if this is D&E. I have looked through the Pitman & Musetti books, also through the items on the education site & do not see this guy. The use of the wire is what is making me hopeful 🙂

Wishful thinking on my part. Also now that I am looking at it and thinking more about it, the pin and the way it is attached doesn't look like D & E.  Still a cute little turtle though, so it has that going for it, which is nice 🙂
