Not jewelry but close-

I found this purse mirror in the "didn't sell" shelf at my favorite haunt. thought it was cute and bought to keep in purse. About 4.5" long and had a very good mirror in it.

At home realized the handle and back was reverse painted glass. Googling I found verre eglomise mirrors and this seems to be exactly that, with what looks like metalic and glitter foil or leaf underneath glass. Anyone know anything about this?  TIA!!

I'm going to (respectfully) disagree here.  I believe your hand mirror is from Peru, where reverse glass painting is a traditional technique.  Here's a similiar example off the internet:

Made in India. Age...dunno. I've seen the technique done before on Indian-made boxes and the like.
