Neutral Nelly

Someone bought a bracelet, kept it a about 10 days and decided to return it because they just don't like it.  I haven't gotten it back yet, but they left positive neutral feedback.  Is that allowed?   You'd think by the actual feedback everything was great, but it's a neutral.

It's not like I had an option, I was forced to accept the return, ebay processed it without my knowledge and then sent me a message.  Really hate humans these days.  Actually hate ebay probably more.

I can sympathize. I have a refund open right now that is about to time out. Person said it had scratches I didn't mention. I have been waiting for them to return the necklace but no go yet. If they don't mail it by tomorrow supposedly they are out of luck. Will wait and see. I lost my faith in most humanity a long time ago.

It's in the water. I just had an experience with a "you didn't disclose" buyer.

A positive neutral is not all that bad.  I got my first negative in 20 years a while back ... no contact from the buyer, no request for a refund, nothing except the negative and a bunch of nasty emails.  I had to have eBay step in to stop them.  There are just some very nutty nasty people out there.

A buyer leaving good feedback has nothing to do with them wanting to return an item.

A quick question. I heard that the new Postmaster has banned overtime which is creating backlogs in Pick-up and Delivery. Has anyone noticed this yet? Could this cause returns to be delayed?

I haven't noticed any difference. My refund hasn't even printed out the label I sent her yet.

Yes.  I mailed a package from my mail box (same day it was paid for) and it took three days before it was scanned at the distribution center in Austin.  Generally it would have been done the next morning.  I actually was dinged for a late arrival date, but it was corrected by eBay.  So they are aware this is going on.

Too many crazy people! I sold a bracelet to a woman. She wrote back that she was disappointed because it wasn't antique. I never described it as antique. She of course returned it and got her money back. Don't people look at the pictures or read the descriptions! All for $6.00!

You can't fix Stupid.  You can take the best pictures ever, use an accurate title and write an exact description , but the force of the Stupid is just too strong with some buyers.  In some cases they can't see the description if they're on a phone, or really see the pictures. (voice of experience)  I always try to put Please See Full Description in that upper Condition box to alert anyone actually reading that there's more to read elsewhere.

You can fix stupid, it's just illegal.  It gets better.  She returned it, I went to refund.  Paypal will no longer simply draw the money from my checking account or credit card.  They're insisting I transfer the money into my paypal to do the refund; minimum of 3 days.

Why do they always make things harder, but never easier?

Got a chuckle out of your first line.

I returned the item in May when things weren't  such a problem with Paypal.

I had a chat with paypal.  At least it wasn't someone in the Philippines.   You can no longer simply pay for something and have paypal advance the money from your bank account or credit card to cover an ebay refund.  That was considered an e-check.  If you do not have enough funds in your paypal to cover the refund you will have to do a transfer which they SAY takes 3 business days but the reality seems to be more like 5.  So you have to wait to refund.

Moral of this story, you have to have enough in your paypal account to cover any recent ebay purchase someone made from you using paypal in case you have to refund it.  How long?  Who knows.  30 days would be a good guess, but we all know ebay will refund past that 30 days limit if they want to.

My return must have decided to keep it. She never mailed it back and ebay has closed her refund.
