Last of September Eye Candy Wednesday

Post it if you got it!  Keep the images smaller to speed loading, and as always no live auctions.

Here are three pieces to start with. The first is an eagle mark Lopez Taxco necklace - pre-1978. The second is a Robert Lee Morris piece, found locally.  It's got some greenies on the chain that need cleaning up.  The buckle is unsigned but old, and already at its new home.

I really had a very good weekend and it was a lot of fun.

A very large community sale took place on Sat.

For a change the weather was perfect and it was a beautiful late summer/early fall day.

A few finds from the day:

Modern with sleek lines, and very comfortable to wear,  a hefty sterling cuff bracelet signed Bayanihan.

I've had jewelry by this company/designer before and it is top notch quality.

Assorted finds, including 10k rose gold bangle, ring, huge sterling dangle clip earrings, and very sweet puffy heart sterling charm.

Love this pendant,  so art deco and very nicely made.

Bummer, my rose gold bangle isn't 10k gold but heavily plated.

I tested it myself on Sunday and it really didn't hold the 10k acid very well, so I took it in for an opinion to my gold guy.

He tested it for me and told me it was 10k, which surprised me.

I still had my reservations for some reason because of how it reacted when I tested it originally.

So today I took it in for a second opinion and got the person testing it to actually file it and drop acid onto the metal.

Nope, came back as heavily plated.

Better to know than to sell it as something it isn't,  and have my reputation ruined.

I am pleased I double checked. But am disappointed that it isn't gold. Oh well.

Beautiful and special finds, everyone!  ev, that's a great vintage Mexican silver necklace.  I visited Taxco a while ago and they have sort of a town square where the artisans work with their silver.  It was very cool to see.  arlene, what a fabulous neighborhood sale that was!  I really like that medal, too.  Sorry the bangle wasn't solid gold.  Happens to the best of us.  Sandy, I love the fall-ness in all your pieces Smiley Happy.  Here are some I'll get around to listing when I get around to it Cat Very Happy.

A Juliana D & E hot mess of stones and colors:

These beads have intrigued me for a while.  They're clear but glow from the inside with different colors when they move.  I think they might be Deco era and made of crystal?  Very long continuous strand:

Red glass brooch with little seed pearls:

I'm not a hoarder! There's a price tag on everything!

Dream, I really like the look of that long crystal necklace, what gorgeous colours, almost iridescent.

And the D&E is pretty yummy too!
