What does the whole thing look like?  The piece showing looks like a watch fob.

Re: ID this piece with the era.

Hi Bruno,

What you have there is as mentioned, an antique gold filled pocket watch fob chain. Judging by the type of locking pocket clip,  and style of the fob this will date from the Edwardian Period Est. Circa. circa. 1905 to 1915. Sometimes those early locking style pocket clips will have a tiny patent date stamped on them. The swivel watch clip may also offer a clue as to the actual company as many of these will have a stamped maker mark either on the outside of the clips loop, or sometimes stamped within the inner section of the clip. If you find a company initial mark let me know and I can access my database for the complete company name, location, and dates of production.

Thanks- Brad
