A First for me..

 

Sold an item..  Paid thru PP .. Item was delivered on 2/15

 

Just rcvd notice from PP of case opened due to buyers claim of unauthorized transaction.   No action needed from me at this time..they are reviewing.

 

So my question is/.what happens in cases like this?  Am I out the money and the items??

If item was sent to PP Address than you should have Seller protection?

@1940fc  We had something like that and when asked supplied delivery confirmation to PayPal from both the eBay and PayPal sites.  Spoke to a PayPal rep and they explained that hijacked accounts happen and while they try to avoid it they will cover the cost of the item ... they were also in contact with the credit card company in our case and it was resolved to everyone's satisfaction.

Yepper..item sent to confimed address & PP says they have the tracking info..so fingers crossed I am covered. And of course it couldn`t be a 'cheap' item  lol

Worry not, Sarah.  We do a high volume of sales at the pawn shop, and have encountered many different situations.  We find that oftentimes someone in the household made a purchase that the cardholder was unaware of.  Whether that was the case or someone stole the buyer's identity, you're covered with the information you provided.  Now go sow some seeds!  LOL!

That has happened to me a few times. I request the persons info., from Ebay and I start calling them. I call until I get them on the phone. I have been told "Oh, I forgot I made a purchase." I have also be told "I got mad at Paypal and reversed all charges." 

 

I respond to every case, in writing, and also call PP to confirm the tracking number and that it said okay to ship. I find staying in close contact with PP, by phone, helps a lot. The other ladies have given you great advise. Try not to worry.

 

I am so sorry that this has happened to you. I understand how you feel and how upsetting this sort of thing can be.

Thanks for the support!  I`m just biding time till I hear further from PP as they said nothing I needed to do at this time while they reviewed.

Sarah, I would think about what Sherry said. Sometimes it takes personal contact to resolve a problem. I think if they don't hear from a real, live person on the other end they think they can get away with something. Calling them may just resolve the problem Smiley Happy
