Hi there I have a question... I have had the same person making an offer on one of my listings twice now and they somehow altered my listing so that it says free shipping when it is not! I thought maybe I had made a mistake and my listing did say free until I exited out to my original listing and the actual correct listing appeared. What the heck? I checked this person out and even their reviews look contrived ( they are all identical) Be careful!

No, but I've had the occasional blip where it says free postage but the system has charged it correctly. That was a good few months ago though.
I did nearly get caught with a scammer who won an auction and then managed to send me a totally convincing ' You've been paid ' email identical to the ones you get from eBay.
it was a while ago and I think they clicked on the 'Ive paid for the item' on the drop down menu like you would if you collected in person and either it triggered a proper email or they did a **bleep** good job of copying one.
Luckily quite by chance I was on PayPal and thought it odd as nothing was showing.
I emailed them thinking maybe it was a system error and they scarpered!

If, in fact, someone has been able to change your listing..the very FIRST thing you should do is call Ebay. It could very well be a glitch somewhere

I called EBAY This item was originally free shipping and I had made revisions to the description at some point and changed shipping to buyer pays. What is baffling to me is that I show buyer pays under my active listings however if you do a search it comes up as free. I couldn’t get a direct answer as to why there is a discrepancy. I guess I’ll have to triple check from now on and take the loss on shipping

So it may be a glitch and the buyer did nothing but make a second offer?

I'd complain to Ebay. Loudly. The auction was NOT listed with free shipping, but their system screwed up and sold from a cached version of the auction. You shouldn't be eating it. They screwed up, their software made the error, and they should pay.
She who dies with the most toys still dies; when's the estate sale?
