Fall has Fallen Eye Candy Wednesday

Hit me like a ton of bricks anyway - the MS always slams me when the seasons change.  Oh well.  Anyone out finding anything good lately?  Or anything really bad?  Keep the pictures smaller to speed loading, and as always no live auction stuff.

Three pieces I've been meaning to list for a while.  The necklace and blue butterfly are D&E.  The Trifari piece has been sitting here and staring at me for the better part of a year.  I took one look at the prices they're going for and decided it goes up next month!

I had some fun today.

Found a nice black signed Sherman necklace and will be going back tomorrow to buy the bracelet which unfortunately is not signed but is a match.

Love these coral earrings. They are quite large (1/2" round).

Here is an 18k white gold Art Deco ring I have had for a while.

It has a synthetic sapphire with a small diamond.

Beautiful pieces 💙

I found this today at the Village on the regular Jewelry Wall. D&E usually goes in the Case with the Sherman. Anywho, it's another different fancy design, this time with scooped stones.

Beautiful, OCN! Am I seeing saphiret  in those bottom stones?

Drool! Just gorgeous.

Holy mackerel!  ev, that Trifari butterfly is a knock out!  Are the green stones flawed emeralds?  arlene, I'm a sucker for synthetic stones in settings like your ring.  Love that age and look of jewelry from that era.  OCN, you sure were the big winner today!  Bravo for spotting it!  Seems it was hiding under a "cone of invisibility" until you came along.  That's what I call a terrific find that's been sitting in plain sight but no on seems to see it but me.  Ha!  Here's a couple non jewelry  things I picked up this weekend.

Glass seed beads and faux pearls.  Made in France for John Wannamaker:

A cool millefiori paperweight.  Is it supposed to be a Christmas tree?:

Thanks Arlene and Dream.

I love the cone of invisibility when it happens. This was like 3:30 pm. It was the colour of the stones that caught my eye but I'm not sure they are saphiret.

Dream,  beautiful French purse.

Ruth, that Trifari is quite something, I will be watching it for sure when you sell it here.

OCN, that brooch was meant to be yours!

I went to a few stores on my way home this afternoon where I bought the Sherman and coral earrings, and finally whipped by the Sally Ann. A staff member was pricing jewelry out in the front so I thought "lucky me".

I must have been there for about 10 minutes when someone walked in and the person pricing greeted her with these words  "I have some lovely rings here and I will show you because I know you love old jewelry".

I decided to be very zen about it,  but I did glance at  the  antique gold ring the person purchased for $10, and then  I wandered off to buy Lebanese pies at the shop next door to console myself with some carbs.

That looks like a coating on the stones rather than the blue being internal like it is in Sapphiret.  But Sherman in the wild ... score!  Arlene's ring is awesome too; I'm a sucker for 20s filigree.  Dream - the butterfly is  a Jewels of India piece, so flawed emerald...glass.

OCN,  if you have time maybe you could post a few more pics of the stones in that brooch?

Here are a few more finds from the past week.

Purple theme for some reason.  Which reminds me, has anyone been in touch with Allison (Thirry) lately?

I miss seeing her here.

This ring has some age,  maybe 1960s? The stone is the vivid "colour change sapphire". Grown in a lab but lovely nevertheless. It tests as sapphire but is definitely synthetic.

Absolutely incredible eye candy this week!

Arlene, I hope you are able to pick up the matching Bracelet.

Also, re the scooped stones. The Brooch wasn't at the front of the hook. What I saw was a glow of sorts. We know what I wanted to find. Uncovered though the finish is more iridescent. I will try for pictures when the weather brightens.

I picked up the bracelet but now think it is not a match. Oh well. Another unsigned bracelet to go in my stash. LOL.

When I got home this was waiting for me in the mail.

I have been chomping at the bit waiting for it to arrive because I thought it might be special ... it was described by the seller as  a costume cameo done in glass from the 1960s.

To my eye it looked very good, excellent carving.

1. Oops.

2. BINGO!  Circa 1910/1915 hardstone cameo.

The only question is did they make the setting from gold or gold-filled?

Tests as 14k.

And yes, hardstone, checked with my Presidium.

I almost never buy cameos online because I have run into "scameos" you know, the pic looks great until you get it in hand. 😄

I was pleasantly shocked this time.

Beautiful Cameo!

I wonder if the numbers on the back date the Cameo to November 1897?
