So you all know I have a metal block regarding stones, so here I am again asking if anyone knows what type of stone this is.

 Also and this is a long shot, does the siggie look familiar to anyone? I'm assuming it's artisan piece.

No help on the siggy.  The stone could be petrified wood or possibly Mexican Crazy Lace Agate, which is what I'm leaning toward.  Pretty piece.
