Re: Anyone know what kind of necklace this is?

It reminds me a lot of the necklaces made by Aarikka, Finland.

On second thought, what is the material of the beads, since they now look to me as if they are rounds of leather, which I'm not sure Aarikka used?  Most of theirs were wood and steel, but gave the same general impression.

This feels more lightweight. Like shell or something.

The Beads are similar to Heishi Beads made from Ostrich shells.

I have seen heishi beads made from porcupine quills.  I know puka (hole) shell beads from Hawaii are from a specific kind of snail shell but that is neither. Odd!
