Ladies Shoe and Dress Types

Can anyone tell me where I might find a link or a chart that gives me the shoe and dress types for women/ladies please?  I have googled my fingers off.  I am sure there must be something out there.

You would be better off using actual measurements.

The sizes that manufacturers give their products vary widely with, among other criteria, place of origin and price point.

My daughter, who normally wears a 6-8, just bought a pair of Lululemon pants and was astonished to find they were marked Size TWO!

Consistently, the higher the price the smaller the marked size.

I'm sorry, I don't think I asked my question correctly.  I am looking for something that will tell me the different types of shoes, example, loafters, stilletos, tennis shoes, etc.  The same for dresses, shirt dress, suit, drop waist,,,etc.  

I do not think I am calling my items by the correct name.
