Hello, I got this bag from shop goodwill. I know little about vintage coach. So, I would love if someone could confirm if it is real or not. And, do vintage coach even have serial numbers like 5fm-xxxx? Im thinking they only had a letter, number, then a letter. Would be great if someone also could clear that up for me.
Thanks a ton in advance,
Opal Rigby
P.S. many thank you's to all the wonderful people who authenticate and pass on knowledge here on ebay.

The bag is authentic. It's a Sonoma Natural Grain Small Drawstring bag.
The serial number does contain a legitimate (Coach-made) error in that when they stamped it, they transposed the characters in the prefix. (Errors such as this were more likely to occur on bags made early in a switch to a non-US plant, in this case, Costa Rica. Once the Costa Rican plant became more established, errors were less frequent.)
The bag should have been stamped F5M indicating it was made in June 1995, but they transposed the month and year codes.
