Coach Authentification Needed

I am considering purchasing either of these Coach bags.  Can someone help to Authenticate?  (They look good to me. )

Also, can someone explain why these two different bags have the same style numbers and white tag numbers if they are a different bag?

Re: Coach Authentification Needed

Rogues are incredibly closely faked and I'm not sure Coach's "Authenticity Guaranteed" people know the minute details to look for.

Although more expensive, #1 looks good.

I have concerns about #2. Several things done by the seller and shown in the listing make me question why the seller seems to be hiding something.

For bag 2:

  • If bag is used, why are the wrappings still on it?
  • What is being hidden with the photoshopped creed and lining?
  • Other listings have missing and/or photoshopped pictures that seem to avoid showing the pertinent details.

As for different bags having the same serial numbers, that's common. Beginning in 1994, serial numbers were reformatted and were no longer unique. Serial numbers would then show production information and style info so bags of the same style that were made in the same month/year/factory could have the same serial number.

Then from 2014 through 2016-ish, Coach made other changes. Creeds (such as those on these Rogues) had a code indicating the style (RG) and 20315 (which isn't a style number). The white tag inside was what showed the production and actual style number.

(Note that the counterfeiters also made fakes with similar creeds and white labels.)

Re: Coach Authentification Needed

I noticed the blurry parts as well BUT I assumed it was just the way the camera focussed.  In terms of the bag coverings, I also assumed they just wanted to protect it.  Both very good points you made.

Also good to know why different bags can have the same serial numbers.

Again, thank you

What you're calling "blurry parts" are not blurry. There's a difference betweena lack of photography skills and a seller purposely messing with pictures to hide something! IMO, those pictures don't imply poor photography.

And a seller who wants to protect hardware can cover and protect it after taking pictures. It's important for sellers to show accurate pictures of the condition (especially when it's a preowned item) and it's also important for buyers to know what to expect.

Re: Coach Authentification Needed

Thank you I see that now and I agree with you 100%.  I again assumed it was an inexperienced seller as I had to ask for the creed patch photo and White tag photo (3 times actually and spell it out with a photo as to where it was and what it should look like).  Having said that, I had to ask for it from #1 as well but with them it was straight forward.

Re: Coach Authentification Needed

In addition to the Rogue, I would also like to purchase this one as I have been watching for this one:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/236366148490?itmmeta=01K6NCVKYV428P0G31P9GPYFBZ&hash=item370885338a:g:N44AA...

Again I don't see any issues and believe that the stitches issue is a blip in the manufacturing?  But I've been wrong before😊.

Could you provide your feedback on this one as well?

Thank you so much for all your help.  I wouldn't consider buying a bag without coming here first.
