Re: Coach Authenticate

Are you finding these bags online? Or are you buying/finding them from thrifts?

Authentic-Style #9953 Helen Berg's Legacy Bag made in December 1996 in Turkey.

Re: Coach Authenticate

I'm questioning whether it is style 9953 as it is listed as a Bleeker tote. It doesn't have straps that match a Helen Berg bag plus it is oval in shape. This is why I think it may be fake or did Coach ever mismark their bags.

Re: Coach Authenticate

Mostly on eBay. I didn't realize just how many fake coach bags are out there and I've bought many (not a seller, just a vintage Coach buyer). Thankful I've found this community as I never knew it existed.

Re: Coach Authenticate

You are correct, it is not a Helen Bergs Legacy. Either the seller got the wrong creed picture (which is a Helen Bergs Legacy) or it is a very rare mis-stamped creed bag.

That creed is NOT from the bag shown. @sandimas is absolutely wrong about the bag without knowing where that creed came from and seeing more pictures, the bag CANNOT be authenticated.

I'd love to see the listing.

NOT a "rare mis-stamped creed bag."

Are there rare-mis-stamped creeds?

VERY rare, but yes, I have a few in my files. It's more often that there are scrambled prefixes and occasional incorrect plant codes but there are even fewer with incorrect style numbers.

Re: Coach Authenticate

Thank you - just received an updated Creed and I now believe the bag is authentic.
