I’ve recently purchased an eBay “authenticated” Louis Vuitton NoeNoe MM purse that has no serial number and stitching that is off on the inside of the bag along with other signs. Now since this has been authenticated by eBay specialists, I don’t understand how this process works, if it is in fact authentic how can they determine that? Especially without a serial number, and other signs of it being off. I’m truly concerned now since it seems like such a failed process. Previous comments have been made by multiple sellers saying they had a real purse and was told it is fake. What is this whole authentication process and why does it seem to be so unreliable? So now both the buyer and seller lose on fees and/or delivery charges authentication fees etc. sounds like EBay is the only winner in it all.

There's no date code because it has a microchip. LV no longer uses date codes.

That is true only on bags made after March 1st 2021.
Can you post detailed pics of the bag you purchased please? Please show the items you think are "off".

Ebay are not real authenticators, if they were, they would give you a COA which they dont. A genuine authentication service would provide you with a COA. And lets not forget, if your in China, no authentication necessary.

I agree with you 100 percent. The authentication process in fact has ruined very valuable items just because they are also not skilled enough to authenticate properly. I don't agree with having that process done unless we get some credits on who is authenticating these items and a little knowledge on their expertise. Sorry for the almost year later response!!!
