The CC is misconfigured and the Chanel serial # "0178652" is not correct for a 7-digit code either.

According to reliable online guides for Chanel serial codes:-

"0XXXXXX — 1986 to 1988: 0's have no strikethroughs. 1's have serifs (feet).
Seven digit serial number printed on white sticker with Chanel logos and left-sided cutout...  Note that early serial numbers (starting with a 1 or 2) did not have a leading "0". Therefore, these were six-digit serial numbers. Also, the sticker was larger than the stickers produced later in the series."

e.g.

 Chanel 7-digit serial code: 1986-'88

As I am not a Chanel bag expert, please wait for others with more knowledge to either confirm or correct me.

My old eyes might be failing me but I think that first digit is a 6 rather than a 0

What I will say is that unless and until you are positive of authenticity, an item shouldn't be listed!

Sellers have to know items are authentic or they can't be listed.

P.S. although the serial # on your bag appears to begin with a "0" in the photo, if it is actually "8" it doesn't seem to match that series' style or finish very well either:

Yes, I think you're right that it does seem to match a "6" better (the cross-cuts make it unclear):

I do have concerns about this bag....

its pretty nicely made which throws me off a little

but I am not sure --

you know how sometimes you feel a bag and it "feels" off??

and I simply cannot read that serial number/date code.

I will try and authenticate it thru a site...

suggestions?
