Re: Real Coach Backpack?

Inside in the seams you will find one or two small tags ...one will say "Made In"...The other will have numbers and letters...can you provide pictures of those?

Re: Real Coach Backpack?

It's authentic but without the other tag there is no way of identifying the style name or number

Re: Real Coach Backpack?

Gotcha, I saw one article said if it doesn't have a stagecoach on one side of the tag then its not authentic so just wanted to make sure. I believe its a campus but as long as its authentic then im happy.

I'm not sure how you can say it's authentic without more information and pictures.

I agree with Alberta. Theres absolutely NO proof that its authentic without more and BETTER photos. And a Made in Philppines tag just makes it even more uncertain. The Philippines are a major source of  fake Coaches and extreme caution should always be used when dealing with items or sellers from the P.I. or with P.I. tags.

What exactly are you looking at that makes you think its authentic?

Once again - please let the brand experts do the authenticating.

It hasnt been proved authentic yet!

The poster who said it was is NOT an experienced or qualified authenticator. Theyve been posting here for only 10 DAYS. Please, whether its Coach or another brand, only accept authentication opinions from posters with proven track records in the brand being discussed.

We keep reminding everyone to let the experienced authenticators do the authenticating, but since this is a public forum, any member, qualified or not, can throw in an opinion without any actual evidence to back it up. Weve had problems here in the fairly recent past of members who claimed to be "authenticators" and who posted some incredibly bad opinions about "Coaches" being real when anyone with any experience or knowledge of Coach products could see they were fake. They dont care that their incompetance can cost someone else their hard-earned money.

Heres a good example, read the entire thread and look carefully at the photos. This was just a year ago, and I believe the member who insisted that it was genuine even started some kind of  home-made "authentication service".

Theres absolutely NOTHING right about this fake that he "authenticated". Take a good close look at what I mentioned in my post right toward the end of the thread - the crooks couldn't even spell "NEW YORK" correctly! Use a magnifying glass if you need to but once you know what to look for it's as clear as day.

Re: Real Coach Backpack?

My friend has the exact brown bag, called a Charles Backpack Sports Calf #54786. Sadly, the seller on Depop can't find the white tag like this one, found mentioned the location. The tag is likely tucked way under the left hand corner of the zipper pocket. You almost need to turn it inside out the way it's folded in. Again, the tag should be in the interior zip pocket, inside the large compartment of the backpack, in the LEFT bottom corner. Here's some pics

Re: Real Coach Backpack?

Furthermore, I did some research and found the same backpack

Have the seller look for the tag in the location of the bag I mentioned.  Here are some more pics.

Re: Real Coach Backpack?

So the seller on Depop cant find the white tags in the actual backpack asked about In the posts by the OP, and the photos you posted are of "similar" backpacks?

That may help in identifying the style, but it doesnt do a thing to authenticate the bag the OP asked about. Authentication requires proof, not speculation or guesses. It also requires photos of the exact item being authenticated, not just similar items.

The ridiculous and dangerous "authentication" I mentioned and posted the link for in "Message 7 of 8" is a good example of what happens when speculation based on flawed "knowledge" and a refusal to pay attention to actual facts and photos is the basis for an "authentication".
