I'm new to vintage handbags and trying to learn. A few questions on this bag I an considering buying to rehab and resell:
1. Does it look authentic?
If so....
2. What is the date of manufacture according to the creed? Everything I read says the number on the creed should start with a letter to depict the month it was made. This one starts with a number.
2. What is the style of the bag? I can't find anything showing style numbers beginning with 0.
3. Does this bag have any value to a collector?
TIA for your help.

It's absolutely authentic and gorgeous!
It's a courier bag with a made in NYC creed. I believe it's from the mid-70s to early 80s.
@fashionclubgurl could probably give more info.
Bags made prior to 1994 can't be identified by the "serial number" since the numbers are actual random and unique.

Thank you @albertabrightalberta . I see a very similar bag on Ebay with the name "Bonnie Cashin" in the title. Would you know what that refers to?

Nope, no more information since the forum seems to be finding non-existant HTML in everything I try to post and blocking it. Search Wikipedia for Bonnie Cashin and thePurseForum for Coach and Salearea Guides under Coach Shopping.

try a cut and past to a notepad, and then to the post; for the HTML error problem.

Sometimes when I try to post something and get the HTML error message, rather than closing out the attempted post, I just hit "reply" again and it always goes through the second time!

OK, trying this again.
For information about Bonnie Cashin:

For thePurseForum copy of the Salearea Coach Guides including the two about the history of creeds and of serial numbers, read the entire thread:

Thank you @fashionclubgurl for your repeated tries to link that info until you were finally able to post it. I appreciate it and I have read through it all. I'm still not quite sure if the bag in my photos is considered a Bonnie Cashin bag, but I will keep exploring.
I am grateful for the help.

Im pretty sure the Courier Pouch is a Cashin design, but yours was made long after Cashin had stopped designing for Coach, so its best to just describe it as a vintage Courier Pouch, probably from the early to mid-1980s. Its not in any of my catalogs newer than 1986 as a regular production style so thats probably the most recent year yours could have been made. And yes, the style is popular with vintage Coach collectors. If you search Ebay for "coach courier pouch 8920" and select "completed listings" you should find several of them. And Red is always popular.
Heres the Courier Pouch style number 8920 and the description from the Summer 1986 catalog:
