1. In the past, smaller items may or may not have had creeds. Those with creeds may or may not have had serial numbers.
2. At some point in 2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds and instead put them on a white tag attached to a side seam (as on your item) or hidden in a nearly impossible to find place deep inside the zipper pocket. But even then, not all items have the white tag.
3. With the 1941 collection bags, creeds had nonsense "serial numbers" and white tags with production information.
4. In 2016 (?), they started putting serial numbers back on some items.
Bottom line: The most consistent thing about Coach is its inconsistency and each item needs to be evaluated on its own merits.
