I have been buying and selling luxury goods for over 11 years on multiple platforms and I am an expert authenticator for another major platform. It makes me furious seeing these fakes fall through the cracks and eBay's useless "authentication service" is letting it happen. Please don't hesitate to message me with pictures of an item you are interested in and I will authenticate it for you. Buyers of such goods on sites like these need to be informed and I am happy to do it.

Aren't you offering to do what we've been doing for about 20 years? With all respect, what is special or different about what you do as compared to what jsales0, a*river*runs*through*it and petals_and_vines have done when LV bags are posted?

I in no way am presenting myself as being "special" or better than any of the names (I had no idea existed until now) you mentioned. I simply posted something offering to also help? I'm not sure why you're so angry and defensive sounding lol

There's no anger or defensiveness. It's just strange that someone would come, solicit messages and offer to authenticate without having shown any level of expertise. 

Since most of your feedback is for private listings and none of the current or completed items are LV, there's no way to know your level of expertise, whether you're aware of and can differentiate some of the scary-close fakes that are out now or how you've gained your knowledge. (Many of the regular posters have demonstrated their knowledge by posting publicly so those who read here tend to know who does what brand and how knowledgeable they are.)

Keep in mind that there's a lot of money at stake when buyers are purchasing LV items that range from a few hundred to thousands of dollars. Mistakes can be costly and if you're doing this by private message, the public can't see whether there's accuracy in your work and if there's a mistake, it won't be caught unless a buyer finds out after they make a purchase. 

I guess I don't understand why you don't just chime in when a post is made like the rest of the posters do.

That's all - nothing more, nothing less and certainly no anger or defensiveness. I don't know LV well enough to recognize "good" fakes so you certainly aren't stepping on my toes.

I work for LV in Marketing so I'm part of the team that designs logos, heat stamps, packaging (including boxes, dust bags, receipt envelopes etc.) and I am extremely well versed in our own products as well as counterfeit Louis Vuitton's common and uncommon tells. I started my store for fun during the pandemic but became furious seeing ill informed buyers paying for counterfeit merchandise. I also do most of my selling on multiple Poshmark accounts and I am a top rated seller there as well who frequently helps authenticating the thousands of fakes there. I'm just offering help because, as you said, there IS a lot of money on the table for these products.  I'm certainly not here to step on toes or make enemies.

What about antique LV items? Are you the LV specialist in antique LV items?

I apologize for the late reply. Yes I can authenticate any LV from any period including antique and special pieces pre-dating codes etc. including trunks, busts and  Louis Vuitton's first ever pieces from 1872.

No they cannot do that on this board. I have no question that hypenryessentials is expert on Vuitton but on this board all they can do is give an opinion.
