How long does a buyer have to make an Item Not Received Claim?

I just got a thing saying a buyer has made a claim that she has not received their item, but was surprised to see that she purchased it May 16--5 months ago.  As far as I can see, I can't search for tracking information on a package that far back.  Any ideas as to what I can do to locate a 5 month old tracking number?  I print my labels through eBay and pay for them through PayPal.    It's not a big ticket item, but it's $20 I'd rather have if I can find the delivery information.  Please let me know what you think, thank you!  Beth 🙂

Buyer only has 30 days from last estimated delivery date.   Your buyer is out of luck unless she goes the paypal or CC chargeback route.

It's in your best interest to save all tracking that comes on the bottom half of your shipping label for 180 days.

I sign up for tracking updates on USPS dot com and save all the emails. That way, if there's a problem, I have the email from the postal service with the delivery date, time and zip code.
