just found this “Hermes” tie brand new at a garage sales for $1. It even comes in a little orange cylinder box. I know nothing about Hermes and would like to know if anyone can tell me if it’s authentic? For $1 even if it isn’t it’s cute to tie in my ponytail. Appreciate the help in advance. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend

The most obvious indicator is the quality of the fabric. Hermes uses a silk twill that feels luxe and should maintain its shape even when knotted or pulled. The hems are also finely hand rolled so see if they look machined or not so carefully done. What an amazing find if authentic, congratulations.

@totes_satchels_crossbodies-ohmy
You're going to need much clearer pictures.
Please post a photo of the full unfolded scarf, front and back, crystal clear pictures of the hem, logo, and both sides of tag/label.
ETA: After enlarging the pictures again, I realized it's a twilly, not a scarf and doesn't have a hem.

And a little more research tells me that I think you hit the jackpot! Here's the same one from FP.
I suspect that @*vanessa*loredano* will chime in.
OMG! I'm jealous!
