Does anyone recognize this handbag logo?

This is a woven leather shoulder bag, made in Italy but I do not recognize the brand. The bag strongly resembles a Bottega Veneta but I doubt that this is their logo. Does anyone recognize it? Thanks in advance for your help.

The logo looks like an MT.

I don't have the bag here, just some pictures she sent me. It looks very much like a Bottega but I know it isn't. Yes, the letters look like MT. Do you know the brand? Thanks.
