Coach Crecent 9718 Bag. Color Issues

I bought this bag with a Coach Willis bag for 18.00 for both. I knew this one had issues but it was the Willis bag I wanted.

This one is stumping me. I know what the bag is as I have one in black that I use all the time.

It almost looks like someone painted it black from the original red color.

The zipper is red and some of the leather trim is red...but some of trim is black including the creed patch.

Some of the red on the outside is showing on the black.

I washed it....no change.

Any thoughts?

Was the red showing in any photos in the listing?  Bag probably had a stain or ink marks and was dyed.

I agree with @labbypaws.

It looks like it was originally a red bag.

I do find it amazing that whoever dyed it was able to dye the creed patch without getting any dye on the lining!

I agree, that creed patch is what threw me. Red bag recolored to black, and a miraculous job on the patch considering the other spots that were missed.

That's what I thought...but as is with you all, the patch threw me off. I'm going to fix the dye job and then keep this one and sell my black one instead....my all original black one. 🙂
