Does anybody know Banana style tag numbers well enough to know if that tag gives an indication of size?
I have a dress my mom wore only once to a wedding, but she cut off the brand/size tag because it was itchy. She bought this dress in 2008 and doesn't remember the exact size, only that it's either a 14 or a 16. I'd rather not guess the size based on measurements if I don't have to since it's a fitted sheath without stretch. Obviously detailed measurements will be provided for the buyer whether I can determine the size or not.
606604 is the style number.
I think -00 indicates the color (black).
HOL08 indicates this was part of the Holiday 2008 collection.
Do either of the other 2 numbers indicate size?

No. Your best bet would be to search for BR sizing chart. Or find similar items that measure the same and look at their tag to determine the size.
In the description put "Size/materials tag missing and based on measurements"
Include measurement photographs in your listing too.

To parrot the previous response, find BR sizing chart for women’s dresses then measure the one you have and compare the measurements to the size chart.

Thanks so much for your suggestions. We were able to find her original order info yesterday and I confirmed the size that way.
I considered going by the size chart originally, but because it's a 2008 style I wasn't sure if the current size chart would apply and didn't want to guess. Sometimes manufacturers change their size charts as years go by, but that probably would have been the best option if we couldn't locate the order confirmation.
Thanks again!
