Used LCD & Plasma Boards Being Sold as Tested & Working. **bleep**!

I think Ebay needs to end the selling of used TV boards that are clearly never tested and upon arrival have blown buldging capacitors or altogether missing tv tuner coax connectors.

This is the latest scam to get sellers money in bulk and then refund later. This is not suppose to be a guessing game of selling used boards that are clearly bad and do not match either the description or pictures shown. Yes most pictures are just representative of the item they are selling.

But to state they have been tested and guaranteed to work when some of them look like a hammer was taken to them or slung across a room is **bleep**. EBAY, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT THIS?

I will never buy another used tv board off Ebay. 3 bad boards so far and i am finished with this SCAM!

eBay is way too lenient with sellers that use terms like "refurbished" and "tested." They should not even allow those words in electronics sales.

Anyone who has the equipment and expertise to test or refurbish electronics does not need to be slumming it on eBay to make a buck. They could be selling those parts to service centers like Geek Squad or Gurus2Go for way more money. On eBay, anyone can turn on a TV and say "I tested it" because they saw a picture and heard audio.

(I used to work for Gurus2Go, btw, and once in a while I'd get a board from them with bulging caps on it. Not often though.)

The problem is that eBay just doesn't understand the significance of those words. I'm an electrical engineer by profession and when I sell used electronics I am always very specific about stuff like this. Like, "I turned it on and tuned in a few stations and measured 100W of power during transmit." I would never use the expression "tested" in an item title or description without qualifying it.
