Seriously why is it so dang hard to report that you didn't receive your entire order?

So recently I ordered Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racoonus and Sly 3 Honor Among Thieves for PS2. Everything is fine and dandy and the seller even made an offer to buy the games at a reduced price and even throws in a third game for free. Seems great until my package arrives and lo and behold Sly 1 and 3 are nowhere to be found and all I find is Max Payne and a Star Trek Comic. I also notice the envelope marked with a received unsealed sticker meaning the games I ordered could have been lost or stolen when in transit. Well, no problem I can just inform the seller of the issue and surely, he will compensate me right? Wrong instead he repeatedly calls me a liar and refuses to acknowledge my issue even when I show him visual evidence of what I got and then gives me the "Not my problem." excuse when I point out the received unsealed sticker. And of course, when I decide to ask eBay to step in, they side with the seller because I filed my case under the "didn't recieve items category" and the tracking information showed that my package had arrived even though I technically didn't receive the items I actually ordered. So I decide to appeal immediately and lo and behold they actually have the option to state that you didn't receive your entire order.

Seriously eBay why can't you give us the option to report that we didn't receive all our items right away rather than making us wait to appeal. I feel if that were possible, I could have been spared from a lot of frustration

Were all of these items part of the same listing? If so, what you needed to file was an ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED CASE, not an item not received case.

Unfortunately, eBay gives you only one bite of that apple.  Now your choices are to open an item not as described case with Paypal if that's how you paid, or, final option,  do a charge back on your credit card.

After that, you need to take the time to read the Money Back Guarantee for buyers so that you can see the difference between NAD and INR cases.

Sorry this happened to you.

Open a return (if you still can) and mark it as "missing parts or pieces".

@gahof32,

  "Seriously eBay why can't you give us the option to report that we didn't receive all our items right away rather than making us wait to appeal. I feel if that were possible, I could have been spared from a lot of frustration?"

Think about it, you filed an item not received INR dispute. That means you did not receive anything. However. tracking shows you did. eBay's automated INR system can only look for tracking information showing Delivered, or not. It cannot check for the contents of the package you received.  If there is a delivered scan, you lose the dispute.

You did receive some items that were not what you bought, and some that were,  therefore that is an Item Not as Described INAD/NAD) dispute.  When you click on the Return item button you will see the option for missing parts or pieces as the previous reply says.  That covers wrong items being sent and/or shorted orders.

You have sold on ebay before, and should know the terms of ebay's money back guarantee. That is something every buyer and seller should read in case of a problem.

Thank you for the tip. Would have worked if it werent for the fact that apparently returns were not accepted with the games I ordered meaning I had to appeal the decision on my case and specify that I didn't get my entire order.
