I said no refunds on open boxes as in my product is brand new but ebay makes me pay the buyer. I recently had 2 ppl use the item wait a couple days then request a refund. I have recieved a pair and they are old with marks on them i can tell they have been drop but I still have to refund the money. Wow ebay!

Re: Refund policy

Welcome to eBay, they do not care what you put in your listing, buyer will win all the time.

Re: Refund policy

There is no true "no refunds" for sellers on eBay. A buyer can always force a return for a refund.

All a seller can do is set things up so that if the buyer is outright attempting fraud, there is enough of a trail to reverse the claim.  For example, serial numbers and hidden marks on items so that if returns don't mach, it creates actionable evidence. Not easy to reverse claims, but can be done.

It is really best to not only offer returns, but offer free returns with the seller paying for shipping. The hidden benefit of this is that it protects the seller from feedback extortion in some cases.  In my experience if I sell something and a buyer complains and returns it (at my expense), that buyer is systematically blocked from giving me feedback. Not sure if that policy has changed or not.
