Here is a copy of a communication sent to the seller, no reply.  Why does ebay do not protect customers? We should be warned that the item is not covered by the manufacturer guarantee. At least, Amazon give you more protection, so will know on future purchases.

Regarding that purchase we are having problems with the watch. It was always been hard to sync form the beginning. After a lengthy talk with Fitbit support (case 35142317) and trying on two devices to sync, nowhere can the device be recognized. The fitbit application is setup on Mac Pro, iPad, and Android cell phone. According with Fitbit support the bluetooth on the watch FB507 is defective and needs to be replace. Fitbit said they can't replace the watch since you do not seem to be registered/authorized with ebay or them. Could you let us know asap. what can be done

Just read your post, if your item was not matching up to the Bluetooth as stated, are you sure your item is real, 100%% authentic?? Tons of fakes very hard to tell Real from Fake, regardless, I would be on Ebays customer supporting line, always have had very good luck, if not present your case to PayPal if that was your form of payment, .. if that fails, reverse charges on your Credit Card....You can go to YouTube to watch setup how to videos,,,, and check out real vs fake... Just click "return this item".  Easy process.  Ebay is more buyer-centric than any online selIer I know.

If you received it in March, it's to late for any help from Ebay since you only have 30 days to file a claim.

Pay Pal gives you 180 days to file a claim, so you have time to file a claim with them.

Be warned,this is the case with a lot of electronics.the manufacturers don't want to warranty items sold by just anyone because most warranties only apply to the original purchaser.I personally can understand why this is because they can't trust just anyone to take the care required with fragile electronics.
