How to program Yaesu FT2700RH?

Have  factory manual but cant save anything but one receive freq per memory. Trying offset Xmit freq or PL by book does not work,  it either dumps memory or  sets both rcv/xmit same. Anyone have experience with one?

I see that is from the 1980s and can't just USB into your computer like I do to set the frequencies on my 2way radio. Try searching youtube for that radio or just send an email to Yaesu technical support.

Most of those 80s models have a very unusual procedure for setting odd-split or repeater memories.

Are you storing the memory twice? i.e., you set the memory with the RX frequency, then go back, adjust the split, then store again while holding PTT.

Only the first 8 memories have the capability to store duplex channels. The rest are simplex-only.

The process is described under "storage of transmit frequencies" in the manual.
