I have first time buyers bidding. Some have no history, or they just joined eBay within days. Can I demand Immedient payment? With scammers everywhere, can I refuse to sell to a suspicious buyer?

You started out with zero feedback.. Where would you be if sellers blocked you?
However, it's your item so you can refuse to sell to them. There are consequences, though. Negative feedback and a defect for cancelling when the buyer didn't request to cancel.
Immediate payment required is a feature you have to add when you list it. Otherwise they have 4 days to pay.

Interesting. Unless you listed with immediate payment required, no you can't.
Looks like you were a new buyer at one point and evidently there were sellers who did not find you suspicious.
How is that different?

Let me say that I had 500 + sales and purchases and then someone hacked my account. eBay made me start from scratch and then held my money for 30 days after my first sale. The next time I went to sell, a scammer wanted me to ship to his relative for away and wanted me to take way more than I was selling the item for. Told him no, and to just send the payment to Zelle. He couldn't do it and tried to get me to accept over payment then sed money back to him. The world is full of crooks. I know that everyone has to start somewhere.

While that is a bummer, expect the hold when you sell the item you currently have listed as well. It's too bad when you have to start a new account because of a hack, that they can't/won't waive the hold.

There are scammers out there just looking for new sellers to prey on. They look for sellers who list expensive items that have no stars or yellow and blue ones. I'd buy a few more items until you get a star, and would not list high fraud expensive items until you've sold some less expensive items.

In addition to what others have said, I'm not sure how requiring immediate payment prevents any of this.
Deadbeat bidders and scammers are usually in a different category all together.

Ebay does not let seller accept payment via Zelle. Seems like you are the one that is trying to make deals outside of ebay.
