Hi!
I bought a graphic card for Apple Mac 3.1. It did not work, made the noise usually connected with the cards not connecting with Mac, made for PC.
When I bought it, there was written by seller it works with Mac 3.1. I sent a message to seller. Hes answer: “I am thinking that it is possibly an error when flashing the card and I put a rom for EFI 32, that is, for mac pro versions v1.1 and v2.1. and for those it doesn't work. If you have a friend who has such a mac pro, give it a try. Also tell you that the card works on Windows PC always.
If all this is so and you know someone who knows how to flash a rom of mac pro, I send you the EFI 64 rom for the version of your computer. Or else you would have to send me the card for me to do it.
I am sorry for all the inconvenience that I have caused you.”
I sent it back as he promised to repair it and spent extra 20 euros for secure shipment.
Sellers new answer: “Yes, the card arrived yesterday. But I do not know what you have done with it that is broken, it does not work. With which I can not do anything and I do not know if the rom I had was the correct one or not. So tomorrow I will resend it to you.”
So, I have no guarantee, it was working before the shipment and I have no proofe I did not break it.
However – the answer of seller “I am thinking that it is possibly an error when flashing the card and I put a rom for EFI 32, that is, for mac pro versions v1.1 and v2.1. and for those it doesn't work.” makes me suspicious.
I bought it because seller said it works wiht 3.1, after I recieved it, he said it does not.
I have absolutely no idea, what to do as the time betweent the conversations took about 2 months, which is longer as the claiming time.

You still have time to file a not as described case at Paypal, its 180 days there..never let a seller string you along like this. Be sure to provide the tracking number to prove return delivery when you file.
