Bought a PlayStation 4 slim to repair my PS4 slim with disc drive issues. Seller owns a pawn shop and I did not realize it at the time because I was focused on other more important variables on sales ad. Reason being pawn shop owners are usually loan shark borderline criminal folks with dubious business ethics and I do not want any of my money going to them. Well how it turns out long story short they sent me a PS4 slim infested with cockroaches. I mean like forty cockroaches with hundreds of eggs and 10 or so egg capsules. I paid $141 total with tax they received $120. Item was sold for parts or repair " broken does not turn on" and all of the parts besides disc drive are worthless because of electrical shorting and egg/feces droppings. Every cockroach was dead because of drying, none were alive, though damage plenty done. The some cockroach pieces had fallen to the bottom of box during shipment. Other cockroaches and pieces were coming out the side fan openings. The unit smelled and it was unignorably obvious they must of known.
I received it today, message the guy to see if we could work out a partial refund of 85 bucks since motherboard and very other component was trash effectively or literally. I had absolutely nothing to do today so I went to work stripping it down to the disc drive and to my luck the disc drive was untouched. It fixed my PS4 slim although at a very high price since my brother wanted the other console for repair to use to plays games off digitally only. Guy tells me to send the entire unit back and receive a refund....of which I told him I refused because it would accomplish nothing, he would dump it on another person on eBay, waste my time and effort ( about 1 hour 45 minutes not including time waiting for unit.)
If I leave him a negative review will it be removed? (I am new to eBay) I have not contacted eBay yet and do not want a full refund and to ship the item back at my cost. How should I deal with this?
