I have a buyer that got my phone number and has been texting me about the item he got. Well after he returned it once for me to fix a squeak. He got it back and he was trying to clean the front cover and rubbed the lettering off. He texted me a picture of that. Now just 2 days ago he said he wanted to return it because he has lost his mood for it. Well the return policy clearly states 30 days. He says he will give me $120 for the front cover he messed up. I am out $200 for the first return he did . I had to pay the shipping both ways. Now that he has ruined the front cover it devalues the deck by at least $300. He paid $800 . He bought it 45 days ago. He is trying to do this between me and him. I really don't think I am obligated to do anything. I called ebay to talk to them about it and the number I had is no good any more. I seem to not be able to contact a team member at ebay about this . Can anyone help me with this. Thank you. Kim

Ebay will let your deny the return request if it is past the 30 day mark, but if the buyer paid with a credit card they can do a chargeback and you may loose the item and your money. I get people at times wanting to return stuff after the 30 DAY mark. Mostly I realize that if you deny most of these customers a return they will fight you tooth and nail. It’s up to you how you want to proceed but with each choice there is going to be some loss.
