I've seen several sellers in the vintage audio and video category offering allegedly "high end liquid cooled" loudspeakers with names like Acoustic Monitor and Acoustic Reference at prices well in excess of the items' actual worth. These are bogus brands associated with the notorious white van speaker scam, and are most assuredly NOT high end. The drivers are so cheap and chintzy even Radio Shack wouldn't sell them, they are not liquid cooled, and the systems don't even have crossovers. The woofer, mid and tweeter are all wired directly to the terminals, although some may have a high pass filter on the tweeter. With some, the impedance varies so widely it could even potentially damage your amp. These speakers are junk. They're complete and utter garbage not worth anywhere near the over $200 asking prices I've seen. Buy at your own risk.
