How can we trust the authenticity of items listed on ebay. For example there are some large screen TVs listed for significantly less that what they sale for retail. Whats more the seller listing the item has no sale history.

What you have described sounds like scam to me.   Some people just cannot resist a too good to be true bargain.    Those people are called "suckers."

Sounds fraudulent, then again I cant speak for them. On ebay and everywhere else, you take a risk selling and buying. I would just move on. The only reason I would see it being lower priced is if there is a defect or if it was used.
