I've got involved more this year with the prop painting. I had fun repainting Audrey from Little Shop of Horrors. She's our mascot for our food bank collections.
I'll share a pic of our latest addition, a life sized horse skeleton when it's done, a friend helped us to do a technique called corpsing. This technique is new to us as we've always just made things with our basic knowledge without any how to info.
I joined a FB group called Haunters Hang out and the things people make from scratch are AMAZING. Look better and cost WAY less than store bought props.
Happy Halloween everyone!

Happy to see you are doing some posting and making new topics.
Been going thru some difficult times.
Added to my broken body we got the major force of hurricane Matthew. No electric or internet for what seems forever. Just getting things up and running again.
The ocean totally devasted a couple of cities / towns nearby. They are in the ocean. No longer even exist. Also the ocean cut a new inlet between the ocean and the intercoastal waterway. That also eliminated homes. People living in shelters who lost everything.
Route A1A was buried under over 4 feet of sand. The sand also went across the road and filled over beautiful oyster bars that went for miles. Buildings , homes, bridges and many other things are gone. A major section of Route A1A fell into the ocean.
Maybe you saw some of this on TV????
There are areas here that will not have electric, phone or anything else until after January 1st.
Your Holloween decorations are fabulous. I just said WOW when looking at them. You sure put some work into them
Be back as soon as I can. Internet is not doing well.

I wondered if you got hit by Matthew. I will keep you and all the unfortunate families in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for your prayers and thoughts Janet,
A main tower got knocked down in our area. Internet connection has been messed up since. Word is they are trying to bounce it off another tower that is quite a ways from here. It'll take until the first of the year to get a new tower up to replace the one that was ruined. Cell phone connection messed up also.
When you ride down the streets here there are piles of furniture, sheet rock, and many other things in front of the homes. They all were flooded. All vegitation is dead from the salt water soaking thru for many days. Its a very sad thing to see.
Seems like we are not hearing from some of our long term members in here. Janet thank you for keeping out group alive. And David is posting thank you David.
Losing my connection going to post this before it goes.
Take Care

Had no idea it was that bad down there DWB. Our local news is usually pretty good at covering things all around the country but with all the campaign coverage and a major fire just down the road, they haven't been covering the national news as much. A couple of groups were collecting items to send to the areas hit the hardest but that switched to local after so many lost their homes in the fire.
Be safe and be well.

Hi Solo
So happy you found your way in here. Its very complicated to figure out.
Those close to the ocean really got messed up. The ocean took over. What a mess.
Internet connections, tv, and other things are off and on working not working. A lot of gouging going on.
Janet your Holloween efforts are beautiful.
Hugs to all who have found their way in here

I did manage to find the private email so if you want me to email people just say the word. I'm having a bad flare right now so am stuck in the house.

Good morning everyone,
Janet your Holloween photos are such fun to look at. Thank you for taking the time to put them on here.
Solo that would be great if you will email people about where we are now. I am having quite a time getting on line for long and it is very weak connection.
Us folks from the original days are still in here.

I agree ... What a Mess!
It is really frustrating that I can't see the most current topics or posts without scrolling past items from a year or two ago.
Yuck!

Will do DWB. Please be patient with me. My Dad has gotten worse and tomorrow we're having a meeting with the Palliative Care Team at the VA. It's time to make some decisions about Assisted Living and in-home hospice. Needless to say, I've been a bit distracted.
Hoipe things are getting better down there.

We raised $2700 pus a 30 gallon trash can full of canned food. It was a lot of work! I did put a costume on and did a bit of scarring for a couple of hours which was fun.
Over the two nights we had about 1500 hundred visitors. We are going to do two nights again next year.
Take care all,
Jenny
