Any ideas on what this is from..  Auction lot find....   Label  shows IBM   thanks

That would be an IBM 3380 1GB hard disk drive from 1980. When it first came out that was a $100,000.00 drive, now it's just scrap metal. I've seen some people take the drive platters out and use them to make clocks.
