I just saw an ad for Atari games in a comic book--now I feel old, I had those games too--and I remembered that once upon a time I was a kid with a collection--Pac-man, games, toys, everything, including comic books---I remember having 2 issues of a Pac-Man comic book. I don't know what ever became of them. Now, I'll have to see if I can find them again.


I just plain have way to many collections.

I started wondering today how hard it would be to genetically engineer
the Barks ducks and whatnot. It strikes me that rather
than start from duck stock (the Anseriforms), we start
with human stock and duckize it. (The reason for going
this way is that it gets us human type cognition and
speach, and it will probably be easier to add duck
appearance to that rather than trying to develop cognition
and speach in duck like things.)

The task still looks pretty daunting. Adding feather genes
to humans is probably do able, but getting the bill and
keeping the human vocal tract looks tough. It will probably
be at more like 60 pounds at 3 feet high, rather than
20. The legs also look difficult, they are jointed really
differently than humans.

The Beagle Boys might be a lot easier, they are basically
human phenotypes with dog faces. That should be just a
minor twiddle on the face genes. The prune diet is
gonna be tougher, even the human omnivore digestion
doesn't like prunes all that much.
