pewter beer steins his and hers help

I have two all pewter beer steins with names engraved on the lids and they appear to be a his and hers set. I believe they were brought back from Germany after WW2. I got them in a box of about 15 steins someone collected, none of which have any manufacturer names.I have some questions about the two solid pewter steins if anyone can help?

1) How old do steins need to be, to have any value?

2) Are his and her pairs more valuable?

3) Is there a collector on eBay I can communicate with willing to help me identify and value my steins?

Thank you. I can post photos or send them to anyone willing to communicate with me.

Here's a great site, in case you haven't found it already: http://www.steinmarks.co.uk/pages/pv.asp?p=stein1

Re: pewter beer steins his and hers help

If you post good, clear photos here, you may well get some help with your steins.  People do not want to do this through email, though, and will not care to have you send them photos that way.

Add your pictures to this thread, by clicking the "Reply" button on your own post and adding pictures here.

If you prefer to work only with stein collectors, there are lots of them out there, as this Google search shows:

Thanks for the link, it looks like a good site and actualy wants to help identify steins and answer questions.

Re: pewter beer steins his and hers help

Thanks for the reply. Finding sites that would help seemed to scarse when I did an internet search. Another reply pointed me to a good one.
