Unknown makers mark on a ballpoint pen

I have a vtg golden colored ballpoint pen that is marked with a capital B and the word USA on the clip. Any idea who the maker might be by the marking? Or does the B stand for Ballpoint?

Thanks much for your help 😊

I'd say that the manufacturer / distributor doesn't much matter and that the value is in the fact thati t was a inexpensive promotonal giveaway from Crocker Bank, a San Francisco Bank with an interesting history.

It was a Crocker Bank branch that was robbed by the Symbionese Liberation Army, for example.  "Dilbert" cartoonist Scott Adams worked for Crocker.   Its ad campaigns were original and famous.  Crocker merged with Wells Fargo Bank sometime in the mid- to late-1980s.

I'd say all that, off the top of my head, along with more which you can research, is where the collector interest is.

Is the 'B' a monogram? Can you attach photos using the camera icon above?
