Tube-lined art tile?

I bought this very detailed tube-lined painted tile recently and it is unsigned. About 16" by 13".  Velvet backing. Any suggestions about the artist or where to start looking?

The Japanese did a lot of this type stuff in the 60s-70s,for what its worth.
