I received an expensive piece of Art yesterday and it was a wreck. The seller had wrapped the frame with 1 layer of bubble wrap and put in a box that was too big. This allowed the poorly wrapped frame slide in all directions. When I brought it inside and saw the mess and texted the seller and he denied my return and within hours EBay closed the return. This prevents me of getting a broken item returned. The item arrived 3 days early and EBay cancelled prior to delivery date.
Does anyone know how to handle this?

I don't understand how this is possible. Did you open a not-as-described case in the Resolution Center? eBay won't step in until 3 business days have passed. Without identifying the seller, can you tell us what the message from eBay said?

Is there some information that's missing here?
You received this piece of art presumably Saturday. It was destroyed.
You went to the Resolution Center and opened an ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED CASE. After opening the case, you have to wait 3 days to see if the seller responds. On the 4th day, you return to the case and ask eBay to step in. If you are required to return the damaged item, the seller is required by eBay rules to send you a prepaid return label or to reimburse you in advance for the cost of return shipping.
There should have been no way that eBay would have closed your case within hours! So how about returning here and giving better details? Random thought: Did you open an item not received case when you intended to open an item not as described case? If so, eBay would have seen that you DID receive something and that would be the reason they closed your case.
How about coming back and giving all the information?

You TEXTED the seller? Or do you mean you used the eBay "contact seller" link? How could you have texted?
