Someone at an estate sale gave this to me. Anyone has a clue what this is? And is the American or maybe Mexico. Name is not hispanic though. Its so dirty lol and the stones are discolored. Also, is there something missing on top? There is a small hole. Thx so much.

Size? Material? Offhand looks like a decorated soccer ball and Cheri's team was the Lady Bugs and they played in 1988.

No, its not a soccer ball. Not sure of the material but the decorations are all carved into the material. The bottom is flat and the stones look like jade. Discolored from afe or what have you. Diameter measures about 5" to 5-1/4"

Looks like maybe fan-based hobbyist art and to be based on... a soccer ball of all things. You should re-read Rita's comment and follow her lead.

I wonder what made it worth $116.99? The stones? @myjunkmightbeurtreasure what kinds of stones are those? We can't tell from the photos.

Turquoises. So I can not pic search from the pics I posted here. I was able to pic search an other way. There are a couple I found they are spheres, One artist makes them and she charges 200.00 per. She has a web page. eBay wont let me post the pic. Hers are a bit smaller then mine. Hers are made of wood.

She has a web page. So did you get ahold of "she"? Care to share this web page so all of us know what you are talking about.

If you had read my other reply I said eBay wont let me post it. Why so agitated? Life is not that bad.

I did read that and I fail to believe that ebay will not let you post a random picture of your object on a discussion board post. It must be something else. You are doing something wrong and people here are trying to help you. Are you trying to post bad links and don't know how to resolve that issue? People here can help with that too. Are you getting error messages? Is that what you mean? What do they say? I'm sorry I can't be of more help to you because I really wanna win that car!

Links to websites are always postable here in my experience. Same for photos if you copy the image and paste it into the message box. I actually was able to do a Google Lens search using the photos you posted here but didn't get results.
We like to learn from posters' items - that's part of what makes it worthwhile for those of us who take time to help as volunteers. So the more info we have available the better for all of us. Kind of like AI 😀 .

I did not get results either but I added the photo in a fake listing and searched there and thats how I found the sphere by someone else. I copied a photo and eBay would not let me post it. So its okay. Thanks for your help

I don't see anyone agitated here. Just some people trying to help you with your strange item.

Are those inset stones along the sides? All soccer jokes aside, someone pulled off a symmetrically perfect sphere with no visible seams and a probably a couple of firings. It's not my thing, but it's not garbage, either. Try giving it a rub with some very diluted soapy water. Start under the foot in case it's super porous.
A lot of Native artists have anglo sounding names and they didn't all start off making masterpieces. I bet it was sold at an upscale trading post right after it was made. '89 ish.
Wonder what the stones are?

Hi
They are turquoise but discolored. The old man that gave that to me said his wife and him bought that in an antique store. She had died and he was getting rid of some stuff.

Yes, I will try to clean it. It is so soiled.
