Please help identify wood carvings. -- Mayan Chief?

These 2 figurines are 12" high.  I am 90% sure they are made of wood.  I'm guessing they might represent a Mayan or Inca Chief and Queen?  I'd like to know origin, age and value.  Thanks a zillion to any who may help!

They look more Indonesian to me.  A Google image search on Klungkung Bali wood carving brings up similar items:

So you might want to continue to research along those lines, if you agree.
