Need help with concert poster artist signature ID

Can anyone help me with this rare silkscreen tour poster from Reverend Horton Heat. It is a special one as these were printed on Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer cases. But i can not find any info on the web or another one like it. I can’t figure out the name of the artist. So many of these artists have weird names or just aren’t well known and the websites that claim to know it all do not know much. I believe it is from 2010 and I can see a small 10 in the signature. Any help would be very useful or direction on how I might find the proper resource. I’ve sold a lot of concert posters and the ones I haven’t identified properly just don’t get as much as they should. Whoever this one is he misspelled one of the bands names. They are the Shack Shakers. Not “Shackers”!

I just took a better shot that might help and I realized I have two of them. Maybe it will help.

If you haven't already, I would try contacting someone at an official website or visit social media sites for

RHH (aka Jim Heath), the Shakers, etc or a merchandise site like the one below (where I found a t-shirt with that artwork). If merchandise is being sold, then the artist is probably getting a cut of it somehow.

It looks like JET to me. Either the word/name or initials.

Re: Need help with concert poster artist signature ID

I actually did kind of do that. I used to work for the band and got this when I was with them. Jim and I lived just a few miles away from each other and my roommate was his tour manager. But nobody seems to remember. I know a lot of the poster artists in certain cities. Lindsey Kuhn in denver being my favorite, but some just don’t stick in my brain and sometimes the promoters at this level of the game either don’t retain records or aren’t willing to waste their time to help. My industry has changed quite a lot in the last 20 years as the corporate monopoly started controlling the live music world as well as the radio. Back in the 90s things were a lot more fun. But back then everybody talked about how great the 80s were so I guess that’s just what happens. It was a really honestly good suggestion though, so thank you!

Re: Need help with concert poster artist signature ID

That’s exactly what I thought but I have yet to find it with google or those other search engines. Had nothing come up that seemed close but maybe I’ll just have to keep searching. Usually a poster is from one city and the artist is from that city 95% of the time which aids in the hunt. This being for a whole tour leg makes it tougher. I did find a Pinterest image of it for a car show 6 years later. And it wouldn’t open the page. So close yet so far.

Out of interest, could you post a link to the car show Pinterest image?

Try this:

About

Kuhn, Lindsey
The art legend, Lindsey Kuhn, publishes posters under the label Swamp. One secret is that Kuhn is color blind, and the posters often have color combinations so strong that they can almost make you dizzy if stared at for a long time!
