Need help identifying this old floor lamp

I took this apart. The base has the markings B P no 18. it is a 2 part base with the top part having the same B P mark with no 19. Also what kind of bug is portrayed on the top arm? the separator tubes are brass. I think the 3 stones are alabaster/marble.

Cool lamp! I can't say with certainty, but to me it looks like a bee or a wasp with fancy or abstract antennae.
